Vendor / Developer Information

Apple has defined two keys to store the name of the application, but none to store information about the developer / vendor. Cowry adds three keys for the vendor name and the WWW home pages for the vendor and product.

CYVendorName is used to give the name of the company, project, or person that develops the application. It is used for display only and can be localized if required.

CYVendorHomePage gives the URL of the (human-browsable) WWW home page for the vendor. This should be a page that gives general information about the company, and a list of products available. This key can be localized if you have different language versions of your website.

CYProductHomePage gives another human-browsable URL, but for the application in question. The page should provide information specific to the particular product, for example a short description, feature lists, download and purchase links as applicable, and links to a support area. This key can be localized if you have different language versions of your website.

Recommendation

Provide all three keys in Info.plist (i.e. non-localized). If you have multiple language versions of your site, localize the CYVendorHomePage and CYProductHomePage keys accordingly.
