Using .cwz archives

Opening a downloaded .cwz (\"Compressed Cowry\") file will open a window in the Cowry application. That window displays various information about the contained application, including the ReadMe and License files if they can be found. The \"Install\" button will extract the application from the archive file and install it in the appropriate location.

The Preferences dialog allows you to set where applications should be installed—either for all users of your Mac (i.e. in the main Applications folder) or just for the current user account (i.e. in an Applications folder in your Home folder). Note that this preference setting is only used when installing applications for the first time. When upgrading an already installed application, Cowry always replaces the existing copy, wherever it is located.
